Curtain Measuring Guide
Width
Measure the exact width of your track or curtain rod (between finials). Our team will add the right amount of additional fabric to ensure proper gather and fullness, both when open and when closed.
Drop
Our standard curtain pleat header tape can be fitted directly over your rod, or used with hooks on a track or on curtain rod rings. Depending on which of these methods you plan to use, your drop will vary slightly:
Rod: Measure from top of the rod to floor (or desired hem) and add 3cm.
Rod with rings: Measure from underside of a ring to floor (or desired hem) and add 2cm.
Track: Measure from top of track to floor (or desired hem) and add 2cm.

Measure the exact width of your track or curtain rod, between the finials. We'll add the extra fabric needed for a beautiful gather and fullness, whether your curtains are open or closed.
Rod: Measure from the top of the rod to the floor (or desired hem) and add 3cm.
Rod with rings: Measure from the underside of a ring to the floor (or desired hem) and add 2cm.
Track: Measure from the top of the track to the floor (or desired hem) and add 2cm.
For most windows, we recommend two equal panels, one either side, for the greatest versatility. For windows or doorways narrower than 150cm, or where space is limited on one side, a single panel may work better.
On a standard window, we suggest placing your rod at least 10cm above the frame and extending it at least 25cm either side. This lets in maximum light when your curtains are open. Have an irregular window or still unsure? Email us and we'll be happy to help.
