Our Story
Founded by photographer Louisa Tratalos in late 2022, Colours of Arley was born from a love of storytelling and a passion for creating unique, meaningful objects for the spaces in which we inhabit.
From Patch
to Patterns
It all began during lockdown when Louisa rehomed Patch, a scruffy terrier, and set out to find the perfect stripe to make him a throne worthy of his new Hackney life. The search proved more challenging than expected, sparking the idea for a brand dedicated to helping others bring their personal stories to life through bespoke stripes.

Colours of Arley now offers bespoke stripes for curtains, headboards, upholstery, and accessories and each stripe is as unique as the story it represents. Transitioning from a career in photography, Louisa remains inspired by telling the stories of the stripes and celebrating those who commission them.
